Rhodium plating is applied White Gold Rings to give the ring a shiny and white finish as natural white gold has a dull finish. This plating will wear off within 6 to 24 months depending on how the item is worn and how often. A bit like the wear on a cars tyre depends on how hard you drive the car. This plating can be reapplied to the jewellery item at your cost.
