The GA2100 Series by G-SHOCK is a new standard-bearer in the world of watches, fusing the timeless toughness of their earlier models with cutting-edge technologies. The GA2100 boasts a slim and compact design while maintaining the strength of its predecessors, thanks to its Carbon Core Guard structure and improved module design.

The Carbon Core Guard structure is a technology used in G-SHOCK watches, specifically in the GA2100 series, that allows for a slim and compact design while still maintaining the watch's strength and shock resistance. It is a carbon fibre reinforced resin material that is used for the case and bezel of the watch, making it lightweight and durable. This structure is designed to protect the watch's internal components from impact and vibration, ensuring that the watch can withstand everyday wear and tear.

The watch is made of carbon and resin and features shock-resistant mineral glass. It's water-resistant up to 200 metres or 20 bar and is suitable for water sports and diving. However, it should not be used in hot water as it can damage the seals.

The GA2100 features a double LED light with a Super illuminator that illuminates the entire face and a selectable illumination duration of 1.5 seconds or 3 seconds. It also has a world time feature, displaying the current time in major cities and specific areas worldwide and 31 time zones, daylight saving on/off, and Home city/World time city swapping.

It also has a 1/100-second stopwatch, a countdown timer, five daily alarms, and an hourly time signal. The watch also features a full auto-calendar that goes up to the year 2099, a 12/24-hour format, and a button operation tone that can be turned on or off.

Regular timekeeping includes an analog display of 2 hands (hour and minute) and 1 dial (day) and a digital display of hour, minute, second, PM, month, and date. The accuracy of the watch is ±15 seconds per month and it has an approximate battery life of 3 years. The case size is 48.5×45.4×11.8mm, and the total weight of the watch is 51g.
